I was using SoundForge and it told me an update was available. I updated the program, and the update deleted it off my computer. I'm not a trial user -- I purchased the program. I'm reinstalling, but I'd like to hear if anyone has had a similar experience or if I should just ignore updates going forward.

Hi @Glen-Weisman. sometimes the Sound Forge 'updater' does not work the way it should depending on many variables. An alternate way to update is go to the "Magix Service Center> My Products" or the "Download Center" and download your version of Sound Forge (which will be the latest build) and re-install. This will have the same end result as 'in application' update procedure but it is more reliable. The other items in the install manager should not need to be reinstalled if they were working before.
