What file format and video codec are you trying to use for this upload? Keep in mind that the encoder that will transcode your video file to Flash video on the server does only support a limited number of video formats. If the format is not supported and the file is somehow problematic/defective, you might just end up with the encoder failing to successfully convert the uploaded file on the server. It might always stay in the conversion process or show an error message/symbol. If you have any means to convert the video file or obtain it in a different format, you should try to do so. WMV and MPEG-1 are good compatibility formats for this purpose.
