when capturing video, frames are very many in one screen. Very unstable picture. Using PAL 1. Using os XP pro version 3 with 40 gig unused space and MAGIX RESCUE YOUR VIDEO-TAPES ! 6.
We need more information about your computer specification and what resolution you are trying to capture at.
I suspect you are suffering from 'dropped frames' usually cused by specifying to high aresolution for capture or your computer is not fast enough or has one or more other programs running, eg Antivirus, which are using up resources to capture reliably.
. . . .Hi John, the computer info. you require is as follows: Microsoft Windows XP Pro. Version 2002 service pak 3.
computer Intel core i3-2100 CPU@ 3.10GHz. 2.91GB of RAM. 32Bit.
The stream format for the MAGIX capture used is PAL 1 , Frame rate 25.000, compression YUY2 & output size = 720x576. This data is set on the device and parameters if changed still dont give a smooth capture. Frames still distorted and too many in one field.
Thanks for all help
Regards

Your computer spec exceeds the minimum required. Is it a laptop and are the USB ports USB 2 ?
Is it possible to upload a short clip of video showing the distortion to somewhere like Dropbox and post a link to it back here, so we can have a look at it. We do need an original clip so posting to the forum will not work.
