unlisted loops?

MM2022 Premium, v30.x.x.44

Regarding the Electric Jazz -- Jazzy Feel Part2 soundpool... In the Loop list for Sequences, I see one each of "Cut That" and "Damage", but if I look in (Windows) File Explorer, I see several more variations of these loops. If this is the case with this particular set of loops, then I imagine it's likely with others? Anybody know what this is about?

@gjonny

Yay! Another good question.

They are the 7 pitches; each loop has been recorded in a different pitch. You select them with the numbers 1 to 7 above the loops.

Ah, of course! Obvious once you know. Thanks.

Hi,

Bonus.

Each Soundpool comes with a BPM.inf file. You can open one in NotePad and you'll see the Tempo and Harmony Table. Electric Jazz -- Jazzy Feel is 90 BPM and in the key of C.

I've seen that in the XML file, too.  I think the Harmony part appears in the Pitches Bar in the Arranger (I don't use it so am not sure)?

@gjonny It looks like your loops tabs is still sitting at the right side of the screen. You can drag and drop the tab to the bottom of the screen which will give you much better visibility for the loops.

You can also enable additional table rows for the loops by right clicking on the existing table header. This will allow you to show information like BPM.

Yes, I had it there for awhile, but I like it better on the side. I have a 1920 x 1080 (FHD?) screen, and real estate is always at a premium (with MM). It's a bit of a juggling act. One of these days, I'll look into getting a larger screen.

Hi,

I think the Harmony part appears in the Pitches Bar in the Arranger

The reference to the Harmony table is just the chords that are in the key of whatever. The root is 1, so if in the key of C, it is C. Then the chords are in order of the notes as you go up the C scale. 2 is d minor, 3 is e minor, 4 is F, 5 is G, etc.

No, right here, to my posting -- mp3 files are supposedly allowed for uploading, but as noted, I got the eternal spinning wheel. I understand the deletion, but those file were intended in the context of what I was saying in my posting. Elsewhere, they would be "out of context".

I do have current pieces on the Producer Base site.

Indeed.

Hi,

I posted the previous info because of what you said about Harmony.

I second what Stephen indicated. Post your songs under Media and then just put a link here.

At 70, I'm still learning.

@PATIENT-X, @browj2

Why the "Media" site? Both Media and Producer Base appear to be Magix sites, anybody know the difference (as far as music/audio goes) between them?

John

PATIENT-X wrote on 4/9/2022, 10:15 PM

@gjonny

Producerbase is a relatively new site and I am also a member, but at the moment you generally just get a like on your music at producerbase and very little comments, I am sure it will improve over time, the Media section is far more friendlier with a family type atmosphere and you receive comments when you upload music and videos, including photography if you so wish.

Users at the media section also collaborate with others and sometimes we have a group collaboration.

Producerbase has a charts system in various genres, which appeals to some users.

As you create your own music, it was simply a suggestion for you to upload a piece of music and see what the Media community is like.
