Unlimited Licensing Rights

Ice here aka @Saeviore in Music Maker Jam and Loudly (check out the content and I promise you won't be disappointed 😁)

I wanted to inquire about information regarding the licensing rights for the sample packs. I went to Catooh and checked out the price for the rights which is $8.99 USD.

My question however, is if purchasing the licensing rights is a ONE OFF purchase that allows me to keep re-producing and selling tracks using that sample pack or do I have to RE-PURCHASE THE RIGHTS for EVERY SINGLE TRACK THAT CONTAINS SAID SAMPLE PACK?

P.S. this question might be cliche already, but I haven't come across a clearcut answer for this and the contractual jargon doesn't help me understand any better. Either way, answers will be greatly appreciated as this app is a hidden gem and I am a strong advocate for it 🔥

@Ice

Welcome to the Magix forums.

First, are you aware the support channel for MM Jam is listed in this post? You might be best advised to post your question there.

Second, the "official" Magix answer to the question of using Magix Soundpools commercially is here. My understanding of the situation you ask about is no, you do NOT have unlimited rights to use these sample packs for commercial purposes, e.g. "selling tracks".

@Jeffrey-Cline

Thank you for the help! I had a look and basically everything within the MMJ Android app falls under the category of "Soundpools."

It also seems that the validity of the licensing rights is a 'per-song' basis, in which any song that is in the area of commercial use will therefore have to pay for the licensing rights of each 'Soundpool' used within the song. 🎶
