simon-foster wrote on 9/23/2020, 7:55 AM

I have magix27 installed (2018)premium (did have) , i have not updated it due to the whole process to confusing and the last time i tried it it went wrong, This morning i clicked on update for one of the instruments (i wish i had'nt because i forgot what a clusterfu$@ of a process it is) , I also do not have internet (broadband) so i cannot download it again as i have no data left , but i cannot even get my previous version back(27) by system restore . I cannot even unistall whatever version is on my pc now as the program keeps coming up with that account already exists, So in a word im stuck and do not want to uninstall everything as it will try and download something again , am i making sense

Hi

. . . . tried to uninstall again getting error 1603 tried the recomended fix's . . . .

Which fixes?

A 1603 error on uninstall means you do not have the correct permissions to do so - did you try running the uninstall as Administrator?

Do you still have a current Update service?

I have had a response from support and it was the same as the faq fix

"Please use this on the program you are having problems uninstalling. This will uninstall it and properly clean up related data (e.g. orphaned Windows registry entries). Once this is done, you can peform a reinstallation from the following URL:"

When i run this program is says"no product codes were specified on the command line no action taken"

Used my trusted 3rd party regcleaner and it picks nothing up either .

I have tried the update service but comes up with account already exists,

I am now going to try and download the new link sent from support and see what happens

I installed the copy of MM from support advice and it got passed the point from before,

The program is working again but a few things don't work and are missing from version before ,

Have not fully upgraded to mm21 . But more than happy it is working again
