@john_barr Editing was limited to about 20 Minutes a month ago because some users started to change their posts and comments after they got mad, which makes following thread discussions impossible.

@SP.

Yesterday a forum user changed a comment 4 times. And I can't make any changes.

Hi

. . . . Yesterday a forum user changed a comment 4 times. And I can't make any changes. . . .

That is possible if the user did this within the time limit for re-editing the post.

There is nothing personal about the introduction of the timel limit, it is unfortunate that the actions of some users have resulted in the necessity of imposing editing time limits to posts.

@johnebaker

I hope I'm not being censored by Magix for issues I've reported, not all of them have been fixed yet.

Hi

. . . . I hope I'm not being censored by Magix for issues I've reported, . . . .

The Community Rules, link is at the bottom of the page, do allow Moderators to exercise some 'editorial decisions' with regard to posts in the forum and as you can see the scope is limited.

Any such editing performed should automatically be notified to you by email, and, if required, by Private message (PM). Ant edits performed on a post have to be given a reason and by whom the editing was done eg:

I have blanked out the date and time.

. . . . not all of them have been fixed yet . . . .

In general terms, when a bug report is received the process is to check to ensure that is reproducible, this may not always be possible as a 'bug' may be the result of the reporting users particular system configuration - this where posting in the forum first is a good idea, then determine the severity, and prioritise the remedial action to be taken. Depending on the severity, it can take a long while before a fix is issued.
