Unauthorized transaction on my Credit card done by MAGIX

Pradeep-Raja wrote on 11/11/2024, 12:47 AM

Hello MAGIX team,

I purchased MAGIX Music Maker 2024 premium last year with a free Loops Unlimited plan but haven't opted for a paid subscription of the Loops Unlimited plan.

No information is provided regarding the subscription under the Loops Unlimited section of my Magix account. No option is available to activate / deactivate such subscriptions / renewals.

But I noticed a transaction on my Credit card on 7th November 2024 done by Magix. I strongly believe that's an unauthorized transaction done without providing sufficient information to the customer. This is unfair !!

I request you to be transparent with your customers and since the transaction is not authorized by me, I'd like to request the FULL REFUND of the transaction. If you have activated the Loops unlimited plan, please cancel the same as I'm no longer using it.

I tried contacting you through the email but haven't heard from you yet.

Please respond soon and process the refund ASAP.

@Pradeep-Raja

Hi

. . . . free Loops Unlimited plan but haven't opted for a paid subscription of the Loops Unlimited plan . . . .

At the time of purchase it clearly stated that the 1st years subscription is included, after that expires you need to cancel the subscription - see image below.

The transaction will have been authorised by yourself at the time of purchase, if you read the Terms & Conditions at the time of purchase you would have seen this.

@johnebaker,

But where is the option to cancel the subscription here?

@Pradeep-Raja

Magix full terms and conditions, including about cancelling subscriptions etc., can be found here. You need to read section 3.

@Pradeep-Raja I believe you can simply cancel the subscription in the welcome screen of Music Maker. This is how it worked in the past.

You can also write an e-mail to infoservice@magix.net and tell them you want to cancel.

@emmrecs,

I went through the section 3 of the T&C. It says "You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without stating a reason". Also it says to send an email to 'shop@magix.net' with my decision to withdraw from the contract. Since I've already sent an email to infoservice@magix.net to cancel my Loops unlimited plan, will that work? or Did I misunderstand the T&C?

@SP.

I've already written email to infoservice@magix.net but haven't heard from them yet.

Will try to cancel from the Music maker app.

Does it assure the reimbursement / refund as stated in the T&C ?

@Pradeep-Raja

Hi

. . . . I went through the section 3 of the T&C. It says "You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without stating a reason". . . . .

The next sentence after the one you quoted is:

'The withdrawal period is fourteen days starting on the date on which you or a designated third party who
is not the carrier, has taken possession of the goods'

In other words, you have 14 days after purchase to get a refund and stop using the program.

Cancellation of a Subscription is covered in the section II. Special provisions for software subscriptions.
