I have the same problem. Tried to point the Magix program to the right directories, but doesn't work. I also get a message saying I only have 85 mb ram or something left (new computer with 16 GB ram).

There are others with this problem too when I searched the net, but no answers yet.

Hi

@dragondemonlord

. . . . hd_file::open() cannot open the file! it may be opened by another application? . . .

Have you done a cold restart of the computer? By this I mean properly shut down and switched off - not put into hibernation or sleep.

Check how much hard disk space you have left.  It is unusual to get a message about the amount of memory left.

Hi,

What do you see when you look in the folder? Is the libraries.xml file there?

How did you get this installed in a location that says ".....\Program Files\...? It is supposed to be under "...\Program Data\.."

You are using your D drive; I used C, but the main folder should still be the same. do you have the following?

C or D:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Music Maker 2015 Premium\Synth\Vita Arp

I know this thred is a little old now, but I was getting the same problem. Running the program as Admin sorted it for me on Windows 7.

Right click the program icon

Select Properties

Compatibility Tab

Check "Run this program as an administrator"

Hope this helps.
