Unable to reset audio effects to no effect.

Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus:  I added an echo audio effect to one small audio clip, but now ALL of the audio in the video has echo added to it.  I have tried to reset to no effects, but the problem still exists.  I even tried deleting the clip that I originally appplied the echo to, but the echo still exists on all other audio, including new audio that I have added after encountering the problem.  Any advice greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi,

Sounds like you added the effect to the track not just the object. Check in the Mixer to see if any FX are set there.

Hi John,

I don't think it's the track because I have added audio onto other tracks and they still have the echo effect - really strange - I've never run into this issue in the past.  I'm removing all audio form the video and exporting the movie as an avi file, and then I'll start a new project and import the avi file and add all new audio to it, which I think will work - just a lot of extra editing.

Hi

. . . . I have tried to reset to no effects, but the problem still exists. . . . .

There are three places you need to check that the Echo effect is turned off:

  1. In the Object Effect control panel - right click the audio and select Echo/reverb and ensure all the indicated icons below are off

  2. In the Track Effect control panel - open the Mixer ( M key ) and select the track which have audio and select the FX button at the top of the individual track controls to open the Track Effects control panel - ensure all the indicated icons below are off - repeat for all tracks with audio.

  3. In the Master effects control panel - while still in the mixer click the FX button above the Master volume controls and check as above are all off.
