unable to remove to re-install

My prog has become unusable while trying to remove it to re-install error msg "unable to load string RESORSES for "en II" on trying to re-install disk told that the disk is a lower version AMENDMENT cheers JEFF ..the disk is the original which was first used to intall the prog, I had just updated from XP to WIN7 and the disk is for WIN7, which was sent from "ASHAMPOO" it worked for a while then the sound ceased from the speakers ang gradually got worse, I was quite happy with the XP version, BUT upgrading to WIN7 a newer version was purchased and on transfereing Cassettes the volume ajustment is hit and miss, and also the trans to Disk failed all it did was to add coppies to the list

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

Clearly, the original attempted uninstall failed, as witnessed by the error message about the reinstall failing because it was an earlier version.

So, please read and follow very carefully the uninstall procedure in this tutorial. Although originally written to help with problems following any upgrade to Win 10 it is also a detailed guide on how to completely uninstall any Magix program.
