Unable to record streaming audio in cleaning lab 16 with Win 7

I am a veteran of cleaning lab 10 and have recorded streaming audio on windows xp for many years. I purchased cleaning lab 16 because 10 will not work on windows 7. The streams that are recorded are all bizarre sounding. The vocals sound fine but the music sounds muffled and distorted. There does not seem to be anything I am doing wrong and no settings to adjust to fix this. How can the vocals sound fine but the music be distorted.

Hi

You have not provided sufficient information:-

What is the source of the audio stream?

What are you selecting as the recording input in ACL?

If the audio streams are subject to DRM then this may be causing the problem.

John

The recording input is set to Stereo Mix, the only other choice is Line in which would not be correct.

I have the same problems whether I record streams from anywhere on the internet like You tube or If I just try to record any of my own Mp3 files as a test. Same result- vocals are fine, music is completely distorted.
