Unable to make my Behringer UMC202HD audio interface record mic audio

John-Zemlic wrote on 4/1/2021, 10:46 PM

Currently using a Behringer UMC202HD audio interface that is connected to Music Maker. I am unable to record voice using a microphone. Could someone advise as to the setting needed in Music Maker to use the interface? What are settings required in the Music Maker settings program? Thankyou.

@John-Zemlic

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Please show us a screenshot of Program Settings>Audio/MIDI tab. The usual reason for this is that the "wrong" driver is being used because the program has defaulted to it!

@John-Zemlic Have you installed the newest drivers? https://mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/behringer/UMC/BEHRINGER_UMC_DriverSetup_v5.0.0.zip

Please select ASIO, not WASAPI. You can then click on the button "Advanced..." to activate the inputs and outputs of your interface.

Hello, Welcome

Out of curiosity, is the cog wheel next to the record button have the Behringer set as the audio input device?

@John-Zemlic

Thank you for the screenshot. As @SP. says, change the audio driver to ASIO as the first test.

BUT, please edit your image to obscure your email address (top right) or there is a risk it will be found by spammers! I can remove the image completely but will leave it to you to suitably "edit" it!
