Unable to load large videos in MEP15+

Unable to load large videos in MEP15+. The file is over 700 MB and the file extention is .MTS. it can play other files (of the same extension) but it lags when I click on it once. The laptop is fast.

Any ideas?

.mts files or AVCHD files are to taxing for most systems, I recommend converting them to .AVI so you can edit them, they will be converted again to MPEG-2 for DVD or another format for other devices.

I have 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB or VRAM and still have .mts lag. But if I was to leave it as .mts and just burn or export it, the result is flawless.

@ john-auvil Yeah I knowm, I can do quick convert on smaller videos (up to 500MB so far) and it can play well after converting. But when I ignore, LAG!!!
