Unable to install Magix due to "Overlapped I/O Operation Is In Progress" error message

I've tried every solution I've been searching for online over the past couple of days such as...

*  Uninstalling specific updates

*  Restarting Windows Installer

*  Turning off my antivirus software

Yet I'm still getting this error message.  PLEASE HELP!

NOTES:  I have Windows 7 and am trying to install Magix Music Maker Premium.

Hi

. . . . Uninstalling specific updates . . . .

Was one of these KB2918614 ?

The Windows installer may be corrupt - try the following procedure to check the Windows installation and fix any issues - note this may take a while to run:-

  1. Click the Start button

  2. Type: CMD the option  cmd.exe should appear -  right click it

  3. Select  'Run as Administrator' - this will open a command window

  4. At the Command Prompt, type: sfc/scannow and press Enter

  5. Once the scan is complete if you have any error messages restart the computer and repeat steps 1 - 4 again.

  6. You may still get an error message after the second scan - if this does happen, there may be a non-essential file that cannot be fixed.
