Unable to activate record.

I recently purchased a more up to date version of Magix "Audio Cleaning Lab" but am still unable to activate the record funcion. I get the following message: The Wave shaped device "Stereo Mix (Realtek Audio) cannot be opened for recording. Reason: Undefined external error,

I don't know whether it's a "Magix" issue or one to do with Realtek.
