Dear Friends,

I had this problem before also but that didnt yeild any results.

In the Text option, I cant use the Typewrier option. Whenever I try to use that a strange message reads that 'Please make sure that the drive is not full or write-protected'. The same happens also when I try to use the 3D Text. I never needed them but now I do actually need them for a project.

Can anyone help me please.

Regards.

Hi Anirban,

I just tried the typewriter title, the first time it worked then the second and third time I got the same error and the forth and fifth times it worked.  I did not get the message for any of the 3D titles.

This is very strange, almost like the hard drive was so busy that it could not access the file.

From what I know, the Typewriter and the 3D Text share one common thing, they are both portions of the XARA graphic software, which is included in the Movie Edit Pro.

This could mean that as the call for the Xara code was made, Windows was not allowing it to open... that might be an issue with authorization or administration rights. Unfortunately, I have not been able to replicate the issue.

What version of Windows are you using?

What version of Movie Edit Pro?

I tested this on a Windows 7 machine running Movie Edit Pro MX (download version).

Hi Anirban,

I actually started thinking about the typewriter title in MEP  and the fact that you cannot get it to work, but even though I can get it to work, it is not really a typewriter title, because all the letters appear at the same time they are just highlighted which is kind of cheesy if you really want one letter at a time to appear.

So I went to one of my other Magix tools Xara Designer Pro X to see if I could improve on this and make it a little more realistic and adjustable.  The pre set title in MEP cannot be adjusted in terms of font, font size, font color, 3D extrusion, etc.  So I created my own which is fully adjustable.  Here is a video where I compare the two approaches and show you what I did, not how I did it.  If you are interested in this approach, or have a project that needs this type of title, let me know and I would be happy to create it for you for a single project.  You won't be able to edit it other than where you place it via size and position, but at least you will have the effect you are looking for.

I did have a little fun creating this clip with the soundtrack, and no I did not violate any copyright with the audio.  It is not really Guns N Roses, just a "karaoke version" that I have the rights for in personal projects.

@George Thanks for the kind reply. Though I must appretiate as well as thank you for your help, the fact is that other than MEP,I dont have any othr MAGIX application like Xara. It is very irritating that the Typewriter option doesnt work and seriously MAGIX needs to take a convincing reaction to it.

Anyways I am yet to check the video as I cannot open it in my office lappy. But as you said that you used Xara, I doubt if I can use it. I need the Type-writer for some small duration though.

Thanks once again George.
