TV Safe Area

I use MEP 17 Plus.

How can I show TV Safe Area in the program monitor? Last night I made a DVD to show the TV Anti Cropping area. I viewed this on my TV but  I am unable to interpret the results or insert anything into Magix.

In an earlier version of Magix there was somethong called 'TV Safe Area' which showed a white line around the picture in the program monitor. There appears to be nothing like this in MEP 17 Plus.

Please can anyone help.

Unfortunately that graphic is not very useful being for a 4x3 aspect ratio TV.

It is long overdue for an update, Magix.

Aren't most widescreen TVs these days LCD (or whatever is the latest technological development)?  If so, I don't think overscan is any longer a "problem".  IOW, they can and do show the whole of each frame.  Or am I completely wrong on this?

That's certainly not the case with my Panasonic TX-32LXD52 32" LCD, which suffers significant overscan, as you see from my earlier screenshot. I don't understand it fully, but there's lots of stuff on the web about it.

Agreed. After a long period using symmetrical 10% settings, I made my current adjustments after trial/error.
