I have a DVD with the serial # a combi of upper case letters and numbers. When I start the program the reg page comes up but the input slot will only take numbers. An error message comes up stating this. But if I only input numbers nothing happens. Hitting "Enter" results in shutting down.
Is the disc an original, in the original box with the disc sleeve?
To check the disc is genuine look for the following:
Text and any image on the disc will be screen printed and be very sharp and clear. The reverse side of the disc will be a clear silver colour.
The box or the disc sleeve should have the program name and serial number on a label stuck to one or both.
A copied disc will have the following:
Text and any image will be slightly blurred and the disc surface is a white or off white colour and has a matt finish or is a white adhesive printed disc label.
The reverse side of the disc will be either a light straw colour or purple.
Hi John, the disc appears genuine by your description. The sleeve has a window and a label with the ser # and "Voucher for a free website domain" and "Register at Magix...." etc.
I would suggest you email sales at magix.com and tell them your problem.
IMHO you would be better off getting the latest version of Web Designer Pro - it will create websites which are to the latest HTML standards and have compatibility with modern browsers and mobile devices.
Yes, I did. They said the number on the sleeve was only a coupon. I got taken, maybe not intentionally. It wasn't a priority to install and I waited to long. Thanks for your input.
