Trying to record guitar/bass with Rocksmith Real Tone Cable.

Hi, I'm trying to record my guitar on the rocksmith real tone cable via Magix Music Maker, though its not picking up any sound even once I've selected it in recording setting, Music maker picks up my microphone fine but as soon as I try the tone cable its silent. The real tone cable picks up in windows and i can even hear sound from it in windows but music maker doesn't

I haven't seen any working solutions online for Magix Music Maker, anyone have any solutions

Hi,

In the program settings, Audio/Midi tab, did you try the different drivers? Wasapi? Direct? etc.

@coco260

. . . . The real tone cable picks up in windows . . . .

Do you have the 32 bit drivers installed for the RockSmith?

If not see if there are 32 bit drivers available from the manufacturer and install them - Music Maker is a 32 bit program.

Wasapi works for listening through headphones while direct didn't seem to work, as to the second question to if they have 32 bit drivers I'm not entirely sure because the drivers are plug and play

Also was just testing around and if I run Direct Sound or Wave Driver for the audio driver it will pick up the tone cable but i can't hear it over any of my audio devices

Alright i think i figured it out so when i plug in my 3.5mm jack headphones i can hear wave and direct sound but my USB headphones only connect to WASAPI.

so I'm pretty sure the issue is that for whatever reason the Real Tone Cable won't transmit over WASAPI but it will over direct and Wave (recommend wave because it sounds less choppy) but the reason i could hear over wave and direct was because of the USB headphones.

thanks for the help.
