trying to record audio from video clip

Have just installed MP3 Deluxe 16 Download version, trying to record the audio of a video clip. Clip plays through speakers but no sound recorded to file regardless of whether I select Listen or Sound Card as audio input. Am running Vista so it shouldn't be the stereo mixer. PC is Dell, soundcard is Realtek HiDef Audio

Hi,

I have just answered you, I want to know if you are using Desktop or Laptop computer and you have connected line from headphone to mic or not.
I have Dell laptop I usually connect headphone line to mic when I want to record. There are some software they record what we hear on speaker in that case no need of line connection.

Thank you

Problem solved folks, thanks to Magix.info Q&A!

http://www.magix.info/uk/no-sound-when-recording-from-screen.knowledge.15045.html

In the end I downloaded the new driver from the RealTek site and was then able to enable Stereo Mix via the Control Panel.

Thanks to ralftaro, Gertmm and nihon94 for helping out.
