I wonder if your trial version installation actually "sees" the existing installation of the older PM version and so concludes that your trial has expired?
Whatever, I think you need to email infoservice@magix.net and ask for their help with this because I suspect this is not something that another user can really help you with.
New Photo Manager? It's several years old now. Exactly which version do you have under About? I have 13.1.1.12, which, as far as I know, is the latest version.
