I received a solution from support for this function not working in PhotoStory teller deluxe. However, when I go to the download that is supposed to correct the problem, it says that it is unavailable.
Thanks John, but the link still takes me to the message, "sorry download is unavailable at the moment". But, now support is telling me that it was already included in my version. They have also told me that the problem is an outdated USB driver?????? and finally that my virus program or firewall in blocking the function. All of proved to not be the solution. I updated the driver and tried the feature with my virus program and firewall turned off. It still will not work. When I click on the feature in PhotoStoryTeller Deluxe, a second browser opens which is supposed to take me to a mapping website, but instead displays a meesage that it cannot connect to the internet. This happens on both my pc and laptop.
Has anyone else been able to get this feature to work in a Windows 7 64bit operating system?
The Travel Route Animation is working fine for me and I am on Windows 7.
The fact that it is not working on both the computer and laptop indicates a common source of the problem - assuming Photostory is OK.
Do you have :
- a software firewall installed on both machines? Eg Zonealarm, Norton or McAfee firewall (as part of their suites) or any other, including the Windows firewall.
- a router or wireless router that has a built in firewall?
- Internet explorer installed - which version and does it connect to the Internet OK?
Thanks again John. But, I have tried running the program with virus protection and firewall turned off. IE has no problem connecting to the internet. Again, when I start the Travel Route Animation, a secondary browser opens and says it is testing the internet connection and then says that it can not connect. There are 2 links in the lower left hand corner of this browser. They both take me to a map service, but not the animation.

Hi Greg
Did you ever get Travel Route to load a map. I have exactly the same problem using Windows 8 and MEP 2013 Plus. I just get "Could not connect to the Internet"
