Hi

If MEP 15 has the 2 options highlighted below (this is from MEP 2015) then the second option is the one to use

Hi

From your PM:

. . . I am putting together a travelogue using photos, clips, titles, and music. I have the fades between photos and clips on track 1,the sound on track 2, and the titles on track 3. I have made all of the fades the same, but they are also applied to the titles. Is there a way to set all of the title fades different from the track 1 fades? . . .

Apologies for the delay in responding I have been checking this behaviour in several different versions MEP ie 16, 2015 and Music Studio (MEP rebranded) 2023 and the same issue arises when the titles are butted up to one another - they must move to maintain their location relative to the new position of the clips the transition was applied to, this can create new transitions and/or replace existing transitions.

To get around this behaviour for an exiting project:

For the video/images click the Lock icon on each track of titles that you do not want to be affected when the transitions are changed as shown below - this is MEP 16

For the titles transitions repeat the track locking procedure for the video, images, music tracks and apply the transition to the titles after unlocking them.

Do note that after applying the transitions the run time will be shorter/longer depending on the length of the transition(s) and you will have to manually move the titles to their correct positions after unlocking the locked tracks.

I would suggest you also consider changing your workflow - this issue is something I normally do not encounter as my workflow is different, I do not add titles, overlay effects, music etc until the video/photos are as I need them edited to length and all transitions applied and collages etc are as required.
