Track in coming sound while I'm recording another track

Hello,

I had noticed on my latest version of Music Maker, when I'm recording two tracks, the first track comes in the second track, so I want to listen the track but not coming inside the new track. I want to record the second track clean with just that sound I'm putting in.

Example, 1st track drums on wave format, second track Acoustic Guitar, the second track it doesn't come clean as it should be, it come with some of the 1st track. Is the a way when to arm the track clean?

How can I fix this?

'm using the Yamaha Mixer MGXU with Steingberg USB ASIO on a Laptop Delll Intelcore i7 with 16GB Ram, 64 Bit operating system.

Thank you

@Oliverio-Balcells I suspect that your Yamaha mixer somehow sends your monitoring signal back to the computer. What happens if your try to change the Yamaha mixer settings? Does it affect the recording?

I'll check it out, I use to record with the Scarlett 2i2 Focusrite and didn't have the issue.

As @SP. says, the problem is almost certainly caused by the mixer. I've had a very quick look at available information for it and I can see no obvious method of preventing the playback of track 1, monitored via the mixer, being also sent out to track 2, along with the desired Acoustic Guitar.

Essentially, I suspect the mixer is not really designed for this sort of "multitrack overdubbing" work, where already recorded tracks can be heard over headphones connected to the mixer but are then NOT mixed in with the "new" audio which is sent to a different track.

@Oliverio-Balcells
