I've had the above error a ton, and a bunch of others that seem to be involving connection errors with the new web store interface and GUIService failures.

I've tried ;

reinstalling Acid

Updating C++

Updating Windows

Updating every driver

Rolling back and reinstalling my audio drivers

reinstalling my VST's

Please help, I would love to be able to go back to the previous version. I had 0 issues with it. Or if possible help me fix my issue, I wish I knew how to fix it myself but so far no luck.

Thanks!

Searched all over google and never found my answer, searched this forum for 30 seconds and I think I have the solution.

I NEEDED TO REBUILD MY VST LIBRARY. I opened a new version of acid 10, NOT a project. I then went to the plugin manager and on the far right there is an FX and folder icon for Configure VST. Click that then, select the FORCE REBUILD box. Restart Acid.

This fixed all my errors, (so far) including a hard lock my PC was doing while loading project zip files.

Got the project to load.....not sure how at all, didn't change anything but I also got this error message:

Plug-in: 'MorphPad- Track Renderer' failed to load.  Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.
Plug-in: 'MorphPad- Track Renderer' failed to load.  Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.
Plug-in: '_ignored_' failed to load.  Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.
Plug-in: '_ignored_' failed to load.  Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.

Are these crashes driven by an issue with Morph Pad?

Same issue here. It happens when I add a plugin to a track, save it, then relaunch the project. I have to open Acid without a project and then kill the path to that plugin so it doesn't load. Otherwise I'll never be able to open my project again without crashing.

Mingle wrote on 5/8/2021, 10:18 PM

Same error. In some cases I open a project and it gives this same error, then I close it and open again and it doesn't error. No rhyme or reason to it. It definitely has to do with 3rd party plugins but plugins are bread and butter when producing something. It really needs to be looked at and patched. I'm starting to look at FL Studio... it's really disappointing because I love Acid Pro

Petet wrote on 5/20/2021, 6:52 PM

Acid 8 had this problem and then it was resolved, its like a layering issue with the window and gui and for some reason it resets plugins and makes the new sidechainer do weird things.

Nicolas-Britos wrote on 5/25/2021, 9:50 AM

Acid is currently a mess... It crashes all the time and when it doesn't crash it resets my current plugins state every time I add a new plugin to the chain. It's completely unusable and I haven't been given a solution my the Magix team. BTW, I tried this in two different computers, both had the same problems. I can't keep on working until they fix this and that's a major problem. They have to do something about it ASAP.

sheppo wrote on 5/27/2021, 5:22 AM

There appears to be an issue whereby if Acid crashes, when you re-load Acid it will ask if you want to load the autosaved project. Likely if it will just crash again if you say yes. Say no, I then see another short VST scan - happens on every load - and then manually loading the project or autosaved project afterwards.

another scenario, if you're finding that it wont even load the project when doing the above, after acid has loaded and scanned plugins, just drag any old audio file in to the blank project. Then try loading your project again, and this usually works for me. No idea why.

I still have issues time-to-time with certain VSTs, whereby if they're in the project it simply will never load, and I put this down to the VST just being incompatible or not supporting Acid. So I remove it from my plugin folder.

Plugin support has definitely been a challenge in acid since way before Magix bought out Sony's products. For me it's in a better place now than AP7 was, but still so much work to do

Nicolas-Britos wrote on 5/27/2021, 10:05 AM

Here's a video of the issue I'm having with all third party plugins:

sheppo wrote on 5/27/2021, 12:47 PM

yes, can confirm this is happening with me on the latest build also. Adding an effect in to a chain resets all other plugins on the same chain to their default. I'll post it as a bug on the beta forum. There's not actually an ongoing beta at the moment, at least not that I've seen, but the devs are more likely to look there

Petet wrote on 5/27/2021, 11:58 PM

I'm having the same issue with ssl eq 2, had it with acid 8 and it went away with 9, now its back. The devs have done a great job still, must have been crazy re working old code and bringing this beast back up to date.

MarcoStorm wrote on 5/28/2021, 12:32 AM

There is at least a workaround for that plugin problem. If you add effects via drag & drop from the plugin manager to the track head or an object it doesn't reset the state of the other plugins in the chain.

Former user wrote on 5/31/2021, 8:14 PM

@MarcoStorm & @sheppo, thanks for the work around on the plugin issue! Here's a work around for the 'auto save' crash problem. When prompted to open the auto save (when you restart AP10) decline. Then find the session auto save file (where ever your temp file or recorded files are located) and open from there.

Came across the issue of adding an effect in the chain resetting the state of plugins to just add my voice to the others here in the hopes this gets fixed.

IAmNotGivingAName wrote on 6/4/2021, 12:55 PM

sorry to bump the thread again, but thought I may mention this in case it helps others. I noticed that the plugin state also resets if you go and edit the FX chain and then click cancel, without even adding a new plugin.
