PINK FLOYD FANS."ARE YOU REALLY".
why is it pink floyd fans only ever talk about "the wall" and "darkside of the moon".
Whats that all about.
if your "genuine" pink floyd fan then you can see past that and listen to floyd when they were at there best and stop going on about the wall.
all the albums they have done and all floyd fans can go on about is 2 of there many many CLASSIC Albums. real floyd fans can see past that and respect pink floyd at there best.
there is countless classics like "animals" meddle" "atom heart mother" piper at the gates of dawn"Saucerful of secrets" "more" obscrude by clouds"wish you were here" "a nice pair" "works" momentary lapse of reason" delicate sound of thunder" The list is endless..real floyd fans dont talk about 2 of floyds albums,"THEY TALK ABOUT THEM ALL"
thats what makes them "genuine" fans.!!

 

MY QUESTION IS.,,what is the best floyd album in your own opinion.?

In my opinion their best album was Ummagumma.  I actually didn't like the Wall very much at all, too simple, very basic instumentation, etc.

I guess that qualifies me as a REAL fan.

Are you kidding?  That would be impossible for me to answer.  There are some I like a little more than others, but there's none I can say is without a doubt "the best".  To me, they are like paintings - they are made with their own palette creating their own unique mood and images.

When it comes down to it, music is always a matter of opinion and taste.  It makes me sad for people who write reviews of PF albums and say they "don't get it".  They think the rest of us are either drugged or damaged (or both). They really don't understand what they're missing.  There must be a part of their psyche where they can't or won't go.
