Unfortunately, your post does not really give us much information about the problem you are experiencing!
However, I am going to guess that you have a title object which is scrolling and displaying for longer than you wish. If so, that is relatively easy to correct but you do need to be working in Timeline view.
To help us to help you, please post here a screenshot of your working project screen.
I am not sure what a film template is. My computer crashed mid-day yesterday. Everything I had worked on was gone even though I had been saving.
Now my computer freezes every hour or two, and when I save and go back into the project the titles are clumping together in one slide. I literally spent most of the day yesterday working on this project. I have a new computer so I am not sure what is causing the havoc.
. . . . My computer crashed mid-day yesterday. Everything I had worked on was gone even though I had been saving. . . . .
If the project was open when the crash occurred, then it is most likely corrupt.
There is a possibility that you may find a good auto backup/save, however if you have been working on the project since the crash for more than 100 mins it is likely that all the backup/auto save files are all corrupt as well.
Backup/auto save files will be in the same folder as the project and are in the format and cab be loaded using File, Open automatically saved project
From the dialog that appears, there may be up to 10 auto saved files numbered 0 to 9, however to determine the oldest the use the date to determine the correct sequence of creation.
The auto backup/save is cyclic, ie once _BAK9 has been created the sequence starts again at _BAK0 overwriting the old file and so on.
If all the BAK files are no good then the only option is to redo the project from scratch, ensuring you save about every 20 - 30 mins and use Save as and a version number sequence, eg Project_1, Project_2 and so on so if a crash does occur you have a backup copies to revert to.
