Does anyone here know if it is possible to timestretch several tracks at once, or at least type the targeted bpm, instead of moving a little dot around.
I am beginning to feel pain in my hand by doing this with the little dot.
When i select several object and try to change the bpm, it only does this to the top object. The remaining objects remains at the old bpm.
For example, i want to change from 130 bpm, to 109 bpm. I then select three objects, and press Ctrl+G to group them. Then i hit Shift+P to go in to timestretch & transpose. Then i move the little dot, because the wheel is way way to inacurate. But it is only the top object that gets changed to 130 bpm. The remaining two object stay at a 109 bpm.
It is MM 64 bit 29.0.5.32 i am using, just so we are on the same page on what i am trying to do, and how.
I have an arrangement of 45+ tracks, and it is not the first one of this size, nor is it the last.
No, that's exactly what I'm doing now. Select an object and select timestretch.
What I need is to select multiple objects at once, and timestretch them all at once.
I have posted a screenshot so you can see why it is something I would like to do, instead of selecting one object at a time. And there is a total of 36 tracks in this project so far. Clicking every single one several times, and then painstakingly changing the bpm is really beginning to hurt.
The song is from a sheet, and have different bpm values, at different parts of the song.
83 bpm is the initial bpm, but right after that its up to 134, back down to 130, then a bit after that 109, and then 101, over 130 again, then 135, Up to 145, 154, 167 and then blazing away away 176, back down again to 123, and down to 86.
That is why i cant use the project bpm setting, otherwise i would have done so.
Been using Magix since 05 so i have some ideas about what i am doing, but for some reason, in newer editions, i cant select multible objects, and timestretch all at once.
It is rather annoying when workings with many tracks.
Wow! I'm surprised that you stuck it out doing all of that with Music Maker for all these years. Since Music Maker cannot handle multiple/changing tempos, I would have gone to Samplitude long ago. In fact, I did. I still mostly use Music Maker for putting together simple jingles using Soundpools, even though Samplitude also has the Loops manager. MM is simpler to use.
I suggest that you move on to Samplitude in which you can adjust the tempo over time.
The good news is that you can open an MMM file in Samplitude and everything shows up. Of course, you can't go back the other way.
Watch for sales on Samplitude. Best to get the Suite. Sometimes they have sales on the Suite for the same price as non-Suite.
Another option is to try out Samplitude Music Studio. I haven't tried it for a long time so I don't know how it handles tempo changes. Try it for free. Again, you can open an MMM file.
I understand how you feel using same software for years, I have been using Acid Pro 7 for years as I found it the most stable, upgraded to version 8 and 10 even worse for crashes, so went back to version 7. I tried other programs but could not get used to it.
Sorry I could not help you.
@browj2 offers a great solution with Samplitude, it's just making that change or upgrade I suppose, and to make music processing easier in the long run.
