If I can pop in on this, there are a few blue lines and indicators in various places in the MIDI Editor:

For a couple quick examples, the blue lines in the middle area are the note indicators, showing when to play notes and are up or down on the grid to show the pitch/note to play at. The blue lines in the bottom area are midi-effect indicators, for things like Velocity (loudness) or Modulation ('vibrating' the note up and down), etc. There are other blue lines as well - if you can be a little more specific which blue lines or indicators you are talking about , or where they are on the screen, I'm sure I and others would be happy to explain what the lines are and what they do

basically i figured out what the line is. its like the trim line and i figured some ways around it. but i learned it has an effect on how things loop so i would love to know how to move it so my midi loops how i want it too

Hmm... the only blue line related to Looping in the MIDI Editor is one that it places at the "end" of the editing area...

If you want to change where your MIDI Object is Looping, you can resize the Object by dragging the lower-right and lower-left corners to make it the size you want (you can also place the Playback Marker where you want it to "end" or "start" and hit the Scissors just above, to Cut it to the duration ("size") you want), then go up to the Edit pull-down menu and navigate to Object, then Loop Range, then choose Set User Defined Loop. This way, you should be able to now Drag it out to repeat/loop how you want it...

I hope that's what you are looking for!
