The ultimate joke: Can't record with ASIO, can't record without it!

So you go into your copy of MAGIX Music Maker Premium to record, but if you try it tells you that you absolutely must use an ASIO driver, otherwise it won't work.

Alright, you say. Sure, using an ASIO driver silences all the other sound on the computer, but we can all make sacrifices.

So you switch over to that good old MAGIX Low Latency driver. Gotcha! the program says. With an ASIO driver, all the program will record is sound being outputted from the computer (i.e. the song you have opened already)!

Please read this post then come back with your computer specification - include:

processor make /model

graphics card make/model/chipset

audio card whether onboard or external and make/model/chipset

Music Maker full name and version as found under Help, About . . . .

what the issue with recording you are having ie what you are trying to record from, settings used
