The software has stopped working

My Magix audio cleaning lab has stopped working. The error message I get on my computer is " OpenGL ES Error Can't find the intel graphics."  and the program will not open. Since I have no disc to uninstall & re-install what should i do? And do I need another P3 serial number? I am using Windows 10 operating system.

@James-Henry

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Exactly which version of ACL do you have? And what is the specification of your computer? See this post for the level of detail that is really helpful to fellow-users.

Depending on the version of ACL you have, it is possible that a recent Win 10 update has rendered it unusable. Hopefully not, but...

I doubt very much whether a new serial key would effect any difference for you, and you would need to buy it!

This version just says audio cleaning lab. It was purchased sometime in early 2019. It has been unusable for over a year so there was no recent update that caused the issue. When you click on the icon it just leaves a picture in the middle of the screen that doesn't go away until you reboot the computer. In the earlier versions of ACL I was able to uninstall & reinstall using the disc. This version I downloaded & i'm not able to do anything. There is nothing you can do? I just lose the money.

Hi,

Did anything change on your computer? Updated operating system? New main hard drive? New graphics card?

The message that you have may mean something to others, but not to me.

Try the solution in this link first.

If that doesn't work and no one has a solution to the error message, uninstall the program, but I suggest that you wait a day.

Go to your account on the Magix.com site, log in, My Products, go to ACL or SoundForge ACL, whichever you purchased, and deactivate the device. Then, click on Installation program. Download it and install it. Use the P3 serial number that you have to activate it.

@James-Henry @browj2

If the app name is just...Audio Cleaning Lab I doubt it is any of the Sound Forge versions of the software since they all show clearly on the desktop icon or the Start menu as "Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab..."

So, @James-Henry, you say you bought the app in 2019. Where from?

I brought the software on a web site I just don't remember which one! I know it's not the Sound Forge version. It may be the version that came out just before the Sound Forge version. I believe the Sound Forge version was just available at that time. There was no new operating system, no new main hard drive or new graphics card. I'll try what browj2 suggested & i'll let you know how it turned out. Thank you fellas

@James-Henry

Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 1 was released at the beginning of 2019. (I checked on my system, the installation took place January 28th, 2019).

So, at the latest, you must have bought your version only just before SFACL 1 was released. My guess is that you actually bought your copy at the time that the website concerned, whichever it may be, was selling the last copies of a previous version. That is not necessarily a bad thing - the "latest version" is not always the best.

However, do try the suggestions from @browj2 (John); the thread he linked to includes an "official" answer from a member of Magix staff.
