The Sample Rate 44100HZ Could Not be Set

mark-wilson wrote on 2/12/2018, 12:36 PM

I recently purchased the Music Maker feature that allows me to import MP3 files into projects. Ever since I installed this I get the above message, as well as a message saying;

'Your sound card is possible synchronized to an external source'

I'm quite new to this software so I would appreciate a simple and easy response that could help me fix all of this. I have Music Maker 2016 installed and I'm running it on Windows 10.

Thanks!

Hi

. . . . 'Your sound card is possible synchronized to an external source' . . . .

Check in the program settings Audio/Midi tab that you are not using an ASIO driver, try the settings shown below

John I have Audio Cleaning Lab (2016). Any idea where those "Program Settings" might be found?

@jspollen

Hi

This topic is about Music Maker, Audio Cleaning Lab (ACL) has its own forum - see links at the top in the Audio section. Hijacking another users topic is not good forum etiquette

Please post a new topic in the that forum so that other users of ACL can see your question and provide help if available.

Thanks John EB! I recently upgraded to MM version 29 and kept getting this error message. I changed the program settings per your diagram and everything works.

Why would we not be able to use ASIO driver? It makes everything work more smoothly. Places less load on the system as a whole and a host of other benefits.

@juanL-arceo-navarro

Hi

ASIO is the preferred driver to be used for Music Maker, however some users want to be able to hear other audio from other sources, eg the Internet, at the same time and ASIO uses the sound card exclusively for Music Maker, no other programs or players can connect to it. An alternative in this case is to use ASIO4All drivers.

All modern integrated audio chipsets should work with ASIO. However an alternate driver has to be used, particularly with laptops, if the manufacturer has customised the drivers - this may apply to the HP computer.

@johnebaker it works on my other HP laptop fine however when i switched to this envy laptop it changed . I also noticed i lost features and it almost looks like the free version as im limited to 8 tracks and cant drag and drop mp3 files even though im using premium... i i have to registrations set up , would this cause that error. Im Im afraid to unregister the old one that works so i needed more info as to why im receiving so many diffeent kinds of diffrences and changes when all i did was go from a hp laptop to a better and newer hp laptop? Thank you

@johnebaker can you have two PC registered to one license. Or will this cause issues to the second pc download?
