The Power Buttons in FX.... gray, blue, and white. Is blue "on"?

Hi, another question from a newbie. Sorry. I tried searching for this but can't find it.

I'm very confused about those power buttons in the FX tab. So, some of them are gray (Compressor, Tempo, Stereo Processor), some are blue (Echo, Reverb) and some are white (10-band equalizer, Parametric EQ). So... I can't figure out what is "on" and what isn't. Also... I have 2 turned on (assuming with the blue power button)... I would think that there would be check marks on both the Echo and Reverb up in the Arranger. But only one has a check mark. And the other one is in italics for some reason.

Can I not turn on both of those at the same time?

Also.... I just turned on Chorus... and I can't remove it, no matter what I try to do. It's like permanent now! UGH!

Now I get a constant pop up red "Chorus Object" thing. If I close it, it still won't remove the Chorus from the object.

How do you turn something off / disable it, if you don't want it???

Okay I figured it out. I saw that it was added to the bottom of that Object Effects list. And I pressed the blue button to turn it white. So, I guess "white" is off. And "blue" is on. And gray is... I don't know.
