I am using Movie Edit Pro 15 and I have added the effect "point of light"  into a majority of my video.  When I watch the video through the Magix program it all shows up just the way I want it.  When I try to export it to Windows Movie format the "point of light" effects that I added only show up in the first few minutes of the video.  I tried to export it multiple times and I am still having this problem.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this???

Hi.   Before exporting/saving any of your videos, when you apply the effects you require, are you ensuring that you use the "Apply to whole video"  option?  (Or words to that effect.)    Perhaps try exporting it to AVI,then re-open it again in your MEP. Check if the effects are there. If they are,THEN export it to Windows Movie format.         Regards,  Ray.

I appreciate the help Ray.  Still ended up with the same problem. Any other possible suggestions?

Hi,

First, can you provide more detail on this 'point of light' effect, such as a screenshot showing exactly where it's located in MEP 15.

Does the same issue arise if you change the effect to a different one?

Have you successfully used MEP 15 (a very old version) for some time? IOW are you an experienced user or a novice?

Are you certain you've applied the effect to all required objects? Have you closely examined the two objects on the timeline corresponding to the point at which the exported file suddenly stops displaying the effect? Is there anything noteworthy about the differences between these two objects, both of which I understand display the effect in MEP's preview monitor but not in the exported file?
