Hi,

I am not sure what you are asking.  The Media Pool is pretty much a file manager.  You can use it to navigate to any folder you want.  I don't actually see any folder titled "Extra Effects" in any of the MEP created directories, so create one, drag your bonus files into it and remember where you put it.  Am I missing something?

Hello George

Thanke for replying.

In the Media pool under effects, at the bottom of the list it says Extra Effects then under that it says Plugings. I wont the bonus pack to come up in that list under Extra Effects.

Hi Michael,

Now I understand why I did not understan your question.  In the MEP manual, the Media Pool by definition is where you acces the media for you production which in reality is under the "Import" tab.  In the effects tab as far as I can determine, virtually everything in there is in some way classified as a "plug-in".  I actually have some prodad stuff, some new blue stuff, and some Virtual dub plug-ins in that folder, but they were all loaded as plug ins not as individual files.  All were installed as plug ins, even the virtual dub source code.

What I suspect is that the software recognizes plug in and places the in that section of the effects tab.  You may want to try copying them to the "uservideoeffects" folder and see what happens, that seems to be where many of my virtual dub filters wound up.  The path for that folder is:

But there is no folder related to MEP that I can find with the name "extra effects" on my hard drive.

Hi Michael

If the Catooh pack contains any Effects/plugins they will appear under the appropriate Fades, Titles, Effects tab options when they are installed.

Extra video/audio extras, eg video loops and sound effects, are part of the media available for use and should be in the media pool.

AFAIKS what you are trying to do is not possible  - extras are assigned to the relevant tabs and options so they are in their correct place.
