Text Wont Appear with Alpha Effect

This is for Magix Movie Edit Pro 14.

I am trying to add text to a video and am using the alpha effect to texturize the text. However, when I go back and play the video after this is done the text does not appear at all. If I click on the text box again and then hit OK, it will then appear on the playback. However, sometimes it only appears half way faded. But when I go to export the video with the new text, the exported video comes out with no text at all again... How can I put alpha text into my video and have the text appear in the playback and in the exported file?

I tried exporting the video with just the alpha text and no background video at all. When I played the exported file, it had no text at all.

So I tried to export text, without any alpha effects at all, and again the exported file played back no text at all..

I thought it was a problem with the alpha effect, but it seems to be a problem with the text all together. I have made many videos before using text in this program, so this is a first. Not sure what is different or why it won't let me export text on the videos. Any help or thoughts or options?

Worse case scenario, I should be able to make text in photoshop with a green background, import it as a JPD, green screen out the background, and put that overtop the video....

jmorrell,

No problem here using MEP14. Export displays just as seen in the preview window. How are you introducing your texture?

Note that the title with alpha effect added goes between the texture image and the background. See also here where the same question was asked about a month ago -- a search for 'texture' would have found it. http://www.magix.info/us/when-i-use-the-alpha-option-to-give-text.knowledge.894455.html
