To see what effects are applied to an image or video object you need to be in Timeline mode and zoom in on the object - the header bar of the object will show which effects have been applied as shown below:
Click on John EB's image to make it larger (full-screen). It's in timeline mode and the arrow points to the top area of the object that has the object name followed by any effects. The effect that you see says "Contrast."
No, that is timeline mode in both of our images. At the right where you see a button that says Storyboard beside it, you have to click it to get Storyboard. We are in timeline mode.
This is Storyboard mode and no effects are shown on the image, only in the keyframe area. Do not use Storyboard mode except for moving things around on track 1. Use Timeline mode.
