Support for using hardware synth (Kurzweil PC3LE)

Hi,

In my previous DAW since 1998 there was possible in half second to map instruments to a patch file from a list with a lot of known hardware synth. I some model was not disposable it was possible to edit a whole patch file in reasonable time.
I try to find this feature in different contemporary DAWs, Musik Maker too. It takes time just to find out if that is possible. Nor the help is not useful at all, nor the online support.

I succeeded to put my H/w synth in the Music Maker MIDI setup in and out but it seems not help. When I play the keyboard no MIDI signal is showed to come in in the DAW. It is not either possible to display a content (notes) of a MIDI track. Must I get a Master Degree maybe to manage this program?

Grateful for a hint.

Music Maker is a basic DAW. It doesn't have the facility for patch mapping. My guess is that these days much of that has been replaced by vst hardware synth editors to use within DAWs. If the Kurzweil has one it could be used but if it's an old synth it's unlikely.

As to midi. It's best to use an ASIO driver in the Music Maker audio options. I don't have problems anymore but I used to have to arm a track for midi recording, then record, then stop and then undo and it would work fine.
