Stopping pop-ups from MAGIX on PC Boot

I keep getting pop-up ads from MAGIX whenever I boot my PC - like these:

Ian Fleming wrote that, "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action." This long ago qualified as Enemy Action. I would like to see it stop!

How can I arrange that?

@rickduley You can uninstall Magix Update Notifier or disable it in the Windows Autostart.

Sad news @SP. I'm getting those pesky pop-ups again.

I checked Windows Update Notifier (gone) and Windows Autostart (no mention).

@rickduley Can you check the System Tray in the Windows Taskbar? It should be on right side, next to the clock. If you click on the /\ symbol, it should display the notifier program there. Try hovering your mouse above it and right click for options. Did this help?

There is nothing in there that refers to pop-ups of any sort leave alone MAGIX pop-ups. Sadly, @SP., the MAGIX sales people have raised devious to a new level.

@rickduley Does the pop-up display after your computer starts? If yes, then it must be listed in the Windows Autostart (inside the Taskmanager). Otherwise it might be a Windows service.

If it only appears after starting a Magix software, you might simply be able to deactivate news it in the program settings.

Did you recently install new Magix software? Usually you can disable the installation in the custom settings. Of course, if you simply click next, all additional programs get installed which also includes the pop-ups app.

Technically, if you look up all installed Magix software under the Windows Apps uninstall list, one of it could be the culprit.

If you have patched or upgraded to a later version of Magix software, check in Windows, Settings, Apps, Installed Apps that Magix Cloud Import, older name Magix Update Notifier, has not been re-installed, uninstall if present.

Additionally in the program settings check the General options tab, Hide news option, if available, is checked.

Hi Rick

Did you check the Hide news option in the program settings?

There is no need to use OneDrive for posting images, use the Upload media icon in the comment dialog box toolbar, see image below, to upload direct to thr forum.
