stopped working

Audio Cleaning Lab 17 Deluxe.

Pressing record I get:- 'The wave shape device 'Microsoft Sound Mapper' cannot record this format.

A device ID has been used that is out of range of your system.

I have uninstalled and re-installed from Magix website with the same result. I have checked that the windows 10 microphone is on and that Magix is listed.

Any ideas?

@Anthony-Horsman Ok, you allowed ACL to record audio from your microphone in the Windows settings, correct?

The only other thing I could suggest is to run ACL in Windows 7 compatibility mode by right clicking on the program icon and then on Properties.

The program is very old. It came out in 2010 I'm not sure it will work on modern Windows 10. Did it work before?
