Stop button does not work during vocal recording, in MMM Premium 2016 !!

djroar wrote on 3/3/2016, 1:38 PM

When recording vocals with my microphone no features at all works, so it is impossible to stopp the recording. In 2015 version everything works as it should. Is there somebody who have a clue about this problem ?

Hi,

Did you happen to update to patch 22.0.4.70? If not, then don't. See my message under the Forum tab......Music Maker.

I had exactly the same problem and it was resolved with a patch, I believe, but some other problems may have been introduced. If it's on the Support site, update to 22.0.3.63, which should help. EDIT: I just checked and Magix has put 22.0.3.63 back in the downloads.

If you don't want to update, try pressing on Esc to stop recording. Worked for me.

Hi

@ John CB

. . . . Did you happen to update to patch 22.0.4.70? If not, then don't. . . . .

Interesting - I am on 22.0.4.70 and all the buttons function correctly when recording - is this a similar issue as has been reported for MMM slowing down?

Cheers

John, its not the similar problem as i reported some time ago, its works ok now but not as fast as the 2015 version.

browj2, i read your message under forum, so we hope for a new patch that hopefully can fix the problem :-)

In part of a message that I posted a while back, I mentioned my problem with the transport controls, especially the record button, which somehow sorted itself out. Why and how, I don't know, but djroar has the same problem, so I am not alone.

Magix sent me a new styles synonyms file. Strange. It did nothing different; I still can't get the soundpools to load in 2016, and my 2015 had been emptied again. The database does not get populated.

Here is what I found today:

1. Load MMM2016 Live - no soundpools, try adding +1000 Sounds - nothing except the word Chillout - that is, there are no soundpools. Close 2016.

2. Load 2015, no soundpools, but they were there the last time. Add +1000, first on list is Chillout, all instruments and loops loaded. Close 2015.

3. Load 2016, no soundpools except for the word Chillout. Close 2016 without trying to add soundpools.

4. Open 2015, soundpools all still there. Close 2015.

5. Open 2016, still only the word Chillout. Add +1000 Sounds. Nothing except the word Chillout. Close 2016.

6. Open 2015 - soundpools gone!

Conclusion, 2016 has a problem with the database. Add soundpools actually empties it, and it affects any other versions of MMM.

Sending this as a reply to Magix.

@John EB

Do you have the same problem with 22.0.4.70? If not, then maybe it has something to do with it working properly in W10 but not in W7.

Funnily enough I did have this problem yesterday with MMM 2015 when answering a dfferent post - I added the soundpools again using the Add button on the soundpool tab with no problem but today they have gone again.  A program reset appears to have fixed this.

Today MMM2016 is also showing the same issue - was working fine after the upgrade to 22.0.4.70  - and a reset does not appear to work and it freezes at 1 sec left to go when adding the styles.

Need to investigate more to see what is happening - I need to check whether SMS 2016 I installed yesterday has done anything  - before this everything was working fine.

Cheers

Hi

I have found this message from Magix Support on the German forum re patch 22.0.4.70

'The update 22.0.4.70 has been removed from our server, unfortunately it was released on the server accidentally and was not intended for download.

We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience !!!

To solve the problem, all customers who have carried out this update, install the program once again without updating 22.0.4.70'

Great.

I don't like uninstalling and reinstalling programs, but I will. I am always suspicious that the program is going to delete soundpools that it shouldn't.

Still waiting for a reply from Magix similar to the message on the German forum.

Hi

There is a new official patch release version 22.0.4.72.

I have installed this one with no issues, however John CB still has issues with a long opening time for instruments - see here.

Hey

In general the program is working better now, with the new patch, but the problem with the audio recording is the same.

Cheers from Roar
