Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6

Dennis-McFarlane wrote on 7/26/2020, 5:37 PM

I purchased the Samplitude X4 suite in May 2020, and included in my licensing email was a license for Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6. However, a download link for Steinberg was not included nor was I ever prompted to enter the license for SpectraLayers. Where does SpectralLayers reside and how do I activate it?

Thanks,

Dennis

@Dennis-McFarlane

As you write, SpectraLayers is now a Steinberg product so I suspect you may be best advised to ask this question on the appropriate Steinberg Forum.

This was supposed to be part of the Samplitude X4 suite, so I'm hoping someone who also purchased the Samplitude X4 Suite can comment. How do I install SpectralLayers which is part of the Magix Samplitude X4 suite?

@Dennis-McFarlane

Are you aware there is a dedicated forum for Samplitude here? You might receive more advice if you register at and repost there since I suspect that few users of the software visit or post in this forum.

Thanks. I was aware of that site, but have been unable to register. I'm getting an error code and emailed Magix about it. I'd love to post there as I've many questions as a new user.

@Dennis-McFarlane

I know that, in the past, other users have reported problems when trying to register at the Samplitude forum. I thought the problem had been resolved?

Hopefully, you will receive more information direct from Magix.

Hi,

Did you scroll down the original email that you received with the purchase of Samplitude Pro X4 Suite? The link for SpectraLayers may be there.

Yes, I did scroll to the bottom and no DL link. Its full name is "Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 Advanced Audio Spectrum Editor." I've no idea what that is but I was not prompted to input the license code, and see no reference to it. In the meantime, I was finally able to register on the Samplitude forum, and have posted my questions there. Thanks, everyone for your help.
