'Static' backups in same folder always named Autosave

If a project is auto-saved at its specified interval but there has been no change in that time, it seems that it is always named Autosave.MV_

Shouldn't this be given the name of the project, just like 'non static' autosaves, but obviously without any numerical suffix?

I frequently break off work on a project briefly to open another new project, maybe to test an idea, or participate in a forum discussion, etc. Occasionally for expediency I'll temporarily use my main project folder. So it's possible for Autosaves to be automatically over-written.

Hi Terry

. . . . If a project is auto-saved at its specified interval but there has been no change in that time, it seems that it is always named Autosave.MV_ . . . .

This only occurs if the project has not been saved or you have restored a backup but not saved it yet eg as in your other topic on reversed tab order.

Thanks John. True, but still causes potential confusion!
