I get this pop up when I open Movie Edit Pro Premium (2019) . Also I'm not able to export videos successfully. I have downloaded the codec and activated it. It worked well for a couple of days and then this happened. I've been trying to export the same video multiple times and it still doesn't work

I have never seen that error message but I seem to remember another user has recently experienced the same problem, though I am not sure what the solution is.
However, if you click on the DETAILS button, what do you see? Please post the full text of any message you receive.
You say you have downloaded the codec and activated it. Which codec?
Also, please read this post and give us the full details of your computer, as requested there.

I am getting a similar dialog popping up with MEP 2020 on start up at the moment - the only difference is mine is blank.
I suspect this may be a Magix server undergoing maintenance or has gone offline for some reason.

I can confirm I got the same result as John but closing down and reopening MEP gave no such dialogue box the second time and I can export a video.

It is still doing it at 22:32 - did you check the Windows taskbar - the dialog is hiding under the program window for me.

Yes it is still working, but slowly.
The pop-up dialogue box seems to confirm your suspicions, that it is a server problem. That's not good. I didn't think the program would rely on servers.
Now my export drive has frozen after exporting. Low level constant activity of 3% from another command somewhere is making opening any file imposible.
Will reboot system and get back on how the export went.

My machine finally rebooted using restart. Result was not good.
Exported file was unplayable and possibly the reason I had unfinished activity on my D: drive.I have had this happen before with a drive in a constant state of freezing after an export but never for so long.
The MediaInfo file on the video was not encouraging either.
That is the tree view of the information.

Following the findings of John and Ray, I opened MEP this morning and did not receive the pop up. So, perhaps if there was a Magix server error it has now been resolved? I have not yet made any attempt to do any "work" in the app so cannot confirm or otherwise the problems seen by Ray when exporting any project.
OTOH, I do know, from recent correspondence with Support, that a new version of MEP is due for release pretty soon. Could the message have anything to do with that, I wonder?

I just tried MEP premium again at 9:22 GMT and the problem persists. VPX is unaffected.

What are you expecting to see there - it looks correct to me - to see the installed content click the Download extra content button.

Magix replied saying they knew bout the problem but my export problem had nothing to do with the current problem and that I should set MEP to the default settings.
I'm not going to do that until after the current problem is resolved to see if the problem with exporting persists.

I have had a worrying added problem.
The export from VPX has also failed to produce a file that plays and is missing data that can be read by MediaInfo. Also it has frozen again my D: drive.
So I have reset MEP and I am trying again. If the problem is still there I will try exporting to a different drive.
If that then works I'll try exporting from VPX without resetting it to see if it is the drive at fault. Everything else on the D: drive is playing back as normal.
Do you think I should download Crystal-disk and check the drive?

Reset MEP and exported to D: drive. Again froze the drive. Left drive until now and it has unfrozen (total time drive was frozen was 32 minutes) and now the file plays and is displaying all file data. Only conclusion I can draw is I can't read and write from the same solid state drive easily.
So now I'm exporting the VPX project that previously froze the D: drive to my I drive (SATA) and see what happens.
I have not reset VPX so if it exports OK it is some sort of problem reading and writing to the D: drive. No Dialogue box with the 'cannot connect warning' from VPX but MEP still showing the warning.

OK. For me, it turned out to be a problem trying to read and write to a Toshiba M.2 drive. I know the early ones had weird controllers. Maybe that was the export problem but reading a project from that drive and writing to a WD Black drive works fine and cut the rendering time down from 46 minutes to just under 16 minutes. There was no need to reset VPX or possibly even MEP.
So much for Magix Support.
So what is the warning dialogue about and does it really matter?

An educated guess is the dialog is actually the news dialog that cannot find the article it is looking for probably due to a testing issue as VPX and other Magix programs are not affected by this.
From previous experience with web servers, staging servers are an 'in between' server for testing, eg a new news item, internally to check all is OK, before pushing it out to the Internet facing servers.
Still not fixed.

Just informing that I do not get the dialog box with error when starting my MEP Premium v19.0.2.58.
Even tried Check update and variuos action to try and force it without any luck.
Do not get it with VPX either, however my VPX is only v17.0.1.27 as my Upgrade service has expired. But I do then get the offer of upgrading when checking for updates
