I received an e-mail advertising Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3 for an incredibly large discount of £44.99. I am assuming this is a scam, but wanted to check before I considered this further. It is my intention to purchase this programme in any case.

You have posted under Sound Forge PC, not Audio Cleaning Lab. Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3 is not at all Sound Forge Pro, which is probably what you are thinking. As shown by @SP. the regular price for the upgrade is £49.99, thus a £5 discount. To understand better, I suggest that you look at the various programs being offered on the Magix.com web site.
