Soundpools Being Removed From Store/Library

cheatcode wrote on 1/11/2022, 8:03 AM

So what is the point in purchasing the licenses for soundpools if they are just going to continuously have sound loops within the purchased "soundpool" packs disappear from the entire collection. I buy the license and several months later loops are missing and cannot be found. I have songs from just last year that are missing several sound loops, which now means songs have empty gaps and sounds that are missing. So why would I buy a license, just for loops to be missing and render those songs created previously, now useless as they have non-existent loops that cannot be found in the entire Magix library. I have at least 8 songs with missing loops from the original collections purchased from, or added via Unlimited Sibscriptions.

@cheatcode Rescan the Soundpools in the program settings. Maybe this will help.

Hi,

Is your Subscription still active?

For purchased Soundpools, the file extension will be .OGG or .WAV, depending on what you asked for. For subscription Soundpools, the file extension will be .mxvOGG and these are only accessible if your subscription is active.

All Soundpools are under: C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

with Soundpools purchased through the Store under: C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Shop

unless you changed the path during installation. You can check in the folders to see if your loops are there.

I already did and i have several song files missing large sections of loops...all of the loops were from the unlimited subscription pools added to the library.

cheatcode wrote on 1/17/2022, 10:39 AM
There are files completely missing their audio... they are there in the library but cannot be played. They appear "blank"

cheatcode wrote on 1/17/2022, 10:43 AM

Actually, this is from a PURCHASED soundpool commercial license, and it is non-existent on the library. One example is "Trap - Dip with my Squad" sounpool collection, and is not on the Magix store... So i purchased something 11 months ago and is now completely useless. Waste of money using Magix of my purchased collections are disappearing from even the Store itself.

@cheatcode

You didn't answer my question. Please do so.

Look at the actual file. Is the extension .OGG or .mxvOGG?

I presume that this is from Trap - My Squad\Synth, correct?

EDIT: just saw your new post. Where did you put the Soundpool? Did you rescan the Soundpools folder?

Hi

. . . . One example is "Trap - Dip with my Squad" sounpool collection, and is not on the Magix store... So i purchased something 11 months ago and is now completely useless. . . . .

This Soundpool is still avaialble in the in program Store as shown below:-

and from Producer Planet here.

My purchased Soundpools still show up in the in program Store, as shown in the example below:

Check that the search option in the store is blank or has the search term set to what you are looking for - a single word eg trap is sufficient.

Why can I not redownload a collection? There is no "repair" or "replace" or re"download" a collection. Which is absolutely stupid....

SP. wrote on 1/17/2022, 2:13 PM

@cheatcode You can only redownload everything manually from Producerplanet.com if you cannot find it in the in-app-store. Of couse, this will not work for unlimited loops downloads. In this case, you need to check if you have some filter in the in-app-store enabled that remove Soundpools from your list.

Yeah I found the "issue"... This app is a joke.

I can't even uninstall the Dip with my Squad soundpool. Awesome software wants to claim it's associated files are currently in use. That is absolutely hilarious.

I can delete any other sound pool collection except that one. The only one with an error.

SP. wrote on 1/17/2022, 2:21 PM

@cheatcode Close the program, go into C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Shop, delete the "Dip with my Squad" folder, restart Music Maker, go into the program settings and rescan the Soundpools. Then it is removed from your Loops list. Then redownload it.

I did rescan the collection and it was the same problem.

SP did help find the issue.

However, I'm incredibly astonished that this app is so confusing and is not helpful with technical problems.

How would a soundpool collection get half corrupt and... You have to manually delete the entire collection file, and then redownload from the store.

browj2 wrote on 1/17/2022, 2:36 PM

@cheatcode

They are just audio files. No idea how they could become corrupt. I have more than a hundred Soundpools going way back plus many more purchased through the Store and some from ProducerPlanet. I've never seen this problem.

If you purchased through the Store in Music Maker, you can right-click on the Soundpool under Loops and Uninstall. Then, Cleanup Store, restart, log in and the Soundpool should show up under Downloads for downloading and reinstallation.

If you purchased from ProducerPlanet, then Music Maker does not put the Soundpool in the Shop and doesn't know from where it came. You received a zip file and you installed (unzipped) the files manually somewhere under Soundpools. If you kept the zip file, then it's a simple matter of deleting the Soundpool folder and putting it in again from the zip file. You should always keep the zip files.
