soundpools and loops...

hello again....regarding soundpools and loops....

Here is my non- understanding of them when ready buying licenses and would like a clarification...

When purchasing a soundpool with licence, are all the loops inside the soundpool (also) licence-protected or do they (loops) have separate  licenses of their own to be bought if used?

The following soundpools CAME WITH the 2015 music-maker\music-studio\soundpool DVD collection 20 bundle: if i have to buy licenses for all of them,so be it...my question is do the loops inside also need licencing

or are they covered by the initial licence of the soundpool i intend to buy?

-chillout vol-8\9-dance vol-1-deep-house vol-1-dub-step vol-2-electro-dub vol-1-hip-hop vol-15\16

-house vol-11-metal vol-2-moviescore vol-11-rock-pop vol-8\9-techno vol-16\17

In other words, if i buy a loaf of bread, do i also pay extra for the slices i eat in the loaf?

Thats all i need to know, so i can move on ;-)

Really would appreciate a simple answer ;-)

Hi pearbear50

If you searched Catooh you would have found that there are individual Soundpools and collections available there with a variety of Pro licences.

As an example: if you buy a Pro licence for collection containing several MovieScore soundpools and use only one of those Soundpools then yes you are, to use your phraseology, buying a whole loaf but not eating it all.

This can be very expensive - you can buy the Pro licences for the individual Soundpools you use.

Regarding your PM about which licence to buy - this is your decision - look through the chart I linked to and decide which licence fits best for what you would reasonably expect your music to be played / used for.

Do bear in mind that if your music takes off and is performed publicly on TV or Radio then the number of plays will be recorded and this needs to fit within the licence you purchased - you can always upgrade the licences at a later date if necessary.
