Soundpools and Copyright

ImSean wrote on 7/25/2014, 2:29 PM

Hi all..

I read as much as I could but I need clarification. If I used a soundpool in a song I composed and I place this song into a song, an album that I will be selling or marketing and I copyright my Album, will I need to list Magix as a third party to the copyright or will I not be able to use the soundpool in the song?

Hopefully I made sense.  :-)

Hi,

I don't know if you found an answer. If so, please post it.

Did you read through the licensing information on the Catooh site? You cannot use the loops in anything that you intend to publish and monetize unless you have the correct licenses from Magix. Read up on the Legal issues on the forum and look at the licensing information on the Catooh site. I believe that you will have to list the sources of the music. You might want to consult with a copyright lawyer and also put the question to Magix.

I and others would like to know how you made out, and also hear some of your music.

Sorry I can't help more.

Hi

This question has been asked and answered many times.

You need to purchase the Professional licence for the Soundpools you use in the songs you are creating - see here.
