Soundpools

Hello, I am using Magix Music Maker premium edition 2020 and I have been having problem after problem. I installed the program and haven't been able to activate it yet apparently. I open the program and it starts up normally and then it shows the Log-in. I log into my account and no matter what I do, entering the activation key doesn't do anything because it won't register in the Magix database when I look at my account information. I am also having problems with the store, every time I re-open the program I am advised that I need to re-download all of my sound pools even though I already downloaded and installed them. Even though they are installed and I can use them, if I save a project and try to open it again, it opens a prompt saying my sound pools are not in my subscription even though I bought them, so what gives? How come I cannot use any of these wonderful tools? I truly enjoy Magix and just want help so I can keep making purchases. I have tried a few things so far such as rescanning my sound pools, reinstalling the program, and resetting the store and redownloading everything. None of which have made any difference what so ever. I even got one sound pool to properly install and leave the downloads tab but I still can't open any projects that I made. Please help.

Hi

With all the problems you are having it would suggest that your Antivirus/Firewall is blocking the program.

Are you on Windows 10 and using WIndows Defender as your AV?

If so try turning off Protected folders in Defender as follows.

  1. Open Windows Start menu.
  2. Type Windows Security.and select it when it appears in the list
  3. Click Virus & threat protection on the left pane.
  4. Scroll down to Ransomware protection on the right pane on the screen.
  5. Click Manage ransomware protection.
  6. Click the toggle button to turn off Control folder access option

Then uninstall the program using the freeware version of Revo, then re-install.

Hello, thank you for your response but I turned off my av when I first installed Magix. I'm not sure if I should continue anyways?

I'm not sure if I should continue anyways?

I think you should so that, in effect, you start again with a completely fresh install.
